The only 'major' software company that makes worse installers is Apple. If those same programmers worked for me, I'd fire them. Every Adobe product, regardless of how good the actual program is, has an installer that is made like crap. Adobe is very consistent in thier low-quality installers. If the silent option fails, then you have thousands of computers waiting for somebody to come deal with them. When you have to manage thousands of systems, you depend on silent, or 'unattended' installs for all the labs, and re-imaging tasks. I've got users with 7 toolbars because they all came with something else.) But then I have to lower that to "1 star" because the toolbar screen ignores the '/S' silent install option. (I don't care which toolbar, if users want a toolbar they should get it as a stand-alone program. I give it a "2-star" rating because they try to bundle in a toolbar.
